We had a lot of fun riding the water slides and playing in the pools. The life guard staff were very attentive especially in the wave pool.
The food prices were very high. A slice of pizza (similar to frozen pizza quality) was $7! The burger prices seemed like a better deal.
Went to Raging Waters Saturday August 12, got there and paid over $180 for entrance. I was charged full price for a 5 year old taller then 48 inches. The 5 year old was repeatedly kicked off of the child slides as we were told he was to tall and to go on the adult slides. Well, a 5 year old is very scared to go onto towering slides. The tidal wave pool was closed, no customer service representative and not one employee was sympathetic to this issue. I may have been able to chalk this bad experience as a loss if it weren't for the infestation of bees that annoy and scare the mess out of you. I had a 4 month old baby that I was afraid for due to not knowing if he was allergic to a bee sting, and a spouse that I knew was allergic to bee stings. The bees were completely intimidating and scary. I spoke with the Manager in guest services as well as a grounds manager, I asked for a refund and was told the receipt stated no refunds. I am highly upset at this experience, I will never go to this park or any other park affiliated with this company. If you are considering going to Raging Waters reconsider unless you want to throw your money away and have a horrible time and be threatened by swarms of bees. I regret getting off of my couch and spending my only day off at this poor excuse for a family fun park!
If I wanted to go back, I would pack a sandwich and eat lunch in the parking lot before going in.
We went on a Tuesday in July and we had a great time. Overall, the rides were lots of fun but the food experience left much to be desired.
Staff was really nice and with positive attitude. Yes food is pricey and average but no wait and no surprise : a Carl's Jr burger is a Carl's Jr, what else do you expect? If food is so important, don't eat in a Water Park. Also, no bee at all: zero. Everybody was picking up it's own trash so the food court was clean ... and bee-free :-)
Bees. LOTS of them.
We went to Raging Water today (Friday Sept 1st) ... although I was scare to go after reading all the bad reviews. BUT IT WAS AWESOME! I had a great time and so did my family.
I will definitely go back, avoiding busy weekends and I will recommend this Water Park.
Also, the covered food area near the entrance had a Terrible problem with bees going after the food while you were still eating it.
Second, the staff is mostly made of teens in high school who really don't care about your time at the water park. Most of them are very ignorant and rude.
The lines are also a big problem. Very poorly managed. I waited 45 minutes in the sun for a ride that was 30 seconds long.
However, there are some cons to this water park. First off, the PRICE. I personally think the price is WAY too high for parking, entrance, and especially the food. We had to pay 7 dollars for one water tube! In other parks you could get those for free!
The water park is huge and offers a large choice of slides : my kids (5 and 7) had a blast and for adults it's really fun too. It was not crowded and we found parking spot in the main lot. OK, it's in cash, but who comes around with less than $15 of cash in his wallet, come on ... Since we didn't want to wait we purchased the H2Go passes and skipped all the lines. It's expensive ($25 per person) but totally worth it.
I just went there yesterday, and overall I had a fun time. The rides were fun, the cabanas provided nice shade from the heat, and it was pretty clean.
We traveled from out of town and checked the crowd levels for the day of out visit; it wasn't supposed to be busy, but there was a 40+ wait time. We were only able to ride 2 rides that day. Fast passes were available but we didn't feel like spending money on that.
Despite these conditions, I had a fun time. I would recommend this to a friend, but I would just would warn them of the cons.
